Like redbuds and wildflowers, tractors and planters are sure signs of spring in northern Indiana!
Just like the lakes, agriculture is a vital part of our local culture and economy. In fact, farming accounts for 76% of land use in our watershed. Local farmers are critical partners in protecting water from pollution, and many use conservation practices to help keep the land green and our lakes clean.
This spring, drive past area farms and fields, and you’ll see water-friendly practices at work – if you know what to look for. Can you spot these key signs?
