Our Staff
Taking Action in the Office

Lyn Crighton
Executive Director
Lyn holds a Masters degree in Environmental Science from Indiana University and worked for nearly a decade on statewide environmental education for the DNR. In 2007, she joined TWF, coming home to the lakes that inspired her career. As Executive Director, Lyn leads TWF in its mission and strategic goals. She finds joy in working with all of the amazing people who love our lakes and support TWF, from our staff to our Board to our partners.
Born and raised in Kosciusko County, Lyn moved to Lake Tippecanoe as a teenager and lives there today. When not protecting the lakes she loves, she’s likely found on the lake, whether water skiing at sunrise, kayaking, paddle boarding, or soaking in the sun with friends and family.

Paige Hubner
Office Manager
Paige manages the administrative side of TWF’s work. From event registrations to tax receipts, her hands touch every slip of paper that flows through our office, and she’s the friendly face you’ll see when you walk through our doors. She enjoys learning more about our supporters and their special connections to the lakes in our watershed.
A lifelong Warsaw area resident, Paige grew up spending as much time as possible at Center, Pike, and Winona Lakes – especially the high dive at Center Lake. These days, she lives in Warsaw with her husband, their three children, and their old schnauzer. She loves quilting, sewing, watercolors, documentaries, and live music.

Jennifer Zartman Romano
Communications Coordinator
Jennifer holds a BA in Communication and has been working in media, marketing, and communications for over 30 years. She manages daily communications, social media, and marketing activities for TWF and loves helping others learn how to protect our lakes for future generations.
A lifelong Whitley County native, Jennifer grew up fishing, swimming, and skating on local lakes. Now she lives in Columbia City with her husband, Tony, their three children, and a quirky Shar Pei who dislikes water, but loves boat rides and spending time at the family’s cottage. Jennifer also owns two art studios in Columbia City and Fort Wayne and is a passionate, accomplished artist. She especially loves watercolors and paints daily.

Barbara Sweeney
Development Director
Barb holds a BS in Business from Indiana University Bloomington and has many years of nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience. As our Development Director, she builds relationships with donors, businesses, and organizations throughout the community to source funding for TWF projects. She loves working with such a diverse group of people all collaborating to protect local waters.
A South Bend native, Barb has lived in 10 cities across 6 different states, finally moving “Back Home Again to Indiana” in 2022. She and her husband, Terry, now split their time between Columbia City and their home on Lake Tippecanoe. When they aren’t on the lakes, they are usually on the golf course.

Caitlin Yoder
Watershed and Snapshot Day Coordinator
Caitlin collaborates with partner organizations, coordinates fun and educational events, and communicates the importance of TWF’s mission throughout the community. She holds a BS in Business Administration and Accounting and a Certificate in Watershed Management from the Indiana Watershed Leadership Academy at Purdue University.
A Warsaw native, Caitlin now lives in Winona Lake with her husband, Vince, and their young sons, Theo and Fletcher. She loves being outdoors, including gardening, hiking local trails, playing in Cherry Creek, swimming, fishing, and watching fireworks over the lake with her family.

Brad Clayton
Watershed Conservationist
Brad has worked in and around agriculture from a young age. He holds a B.S. in Plant and Soil Sciences from Oklahoma State University and has spent his career supporting local farmers. He serves in several ag-related leadership roles, including as Associate Supervisor of the Kosciusko County Soil and Water Conservation District. As a Watershed Conservationist for TWF, Brad loves helping others learn how to improve our communities through soil health and clean water.
Brad grew up in North Webster, where he still lives today. When he’s not in the field, he works at Clayton Garden Center, the family business. He loves to read, hike, play drums, and watch movies.

Scott Zeigler
Watershed Conservationist
Scott has been involved in local agriculture his entire life. As a farmer, he raises a grass fed cow-calf herd on his family’s 100-acre homestead in Noble County. He also holds a B.S. in Land Survey Engineering and is a licensed professional surveyor, serving as Noble County Surveyor for 16 years and running his private survey business. As a Watershed Conservationist, he enjoys working with other farmers to promote soil health, increase profitability, and protect water quality.
Scott and his wife, Annette, love traveling by motorhome with their family. They’ve visited all 48 continental states and 3 Canadian provinces, but the Rocky Mountains are a favorite.
