It’s been an exciting year of growth and change at The Watershed Foundation. Along with our usual water quality projects and partnerships, community outreach efforts, and events, we’ve been quietly working behind the scenes to strategize, plan, and prepare for the future of our organization. That includes building our capacity by growing and developing our staff.
“We believe people are our most valuable asset,” says Lyn Crighton, Executive Director. “Success is only possible with a great team.”
Meet two team members who are moving TWF forward in new ways!
Paige Hubner, Development & Operations Manager
Paige has managed the administrative side of TWF’s work since 2017, handling everything from event registrations to tax receipts to database records. As our newly-created Development & Operations Manager, Paige now oversees daily operations, as well as our communications and stewardship efforts. She manages staff, communicates with board members, coordinates events, and helps create policies, procedures, and other tools that keep our organization running smoothly, effectively, and sustainably.
And yes, she’s still the friendly face you see first when you walk through our doors!
A lifelong Warsaw area resident, Paige grew up spending as much time as possible at Center, Pike, and Winona Lakes–especially the high dive at Center Lake. She lives in Warsaw with her husband and their old Schnauzer. When she’s not at work protecting our lakes, she loves quilting, sewing, watercolors, documentaries, and live music.
“I’m excited to take on a bigger role at TWF and help build our capacity for the next 25 years,” says Paige. “We all need to be active in protecting our water. I’m excited to do my part.”
Ashley Rose, Administrative Assistant
Ashley joined the TWF team this summer. As our new Administrative Assistant, she supports daily operations in many ways, helping with records and bookkeeping, answering phone calls, writing thank you notes to supporters, and so much more. As she settles into her role, she’s also learning more about our watershed and gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit work.
“It’s been a delight to meet so many community members and hear about their individual or family history in our watershed,” Ashley says. “I’m excited to develop these relationships and to continue learning how pollution affects water quality, how to spread awareness, and how to protect our water.”
A Syracuse native, Ashley loves to spend time outdoors, exploring local spots like Pisgah Marsh and the Winona trails with her dog. She’s also a professional photographer with a thriving business and a houseplant enthusiast with a vast indoor collection.
If you’re in North Webster, we invite you to stop by our office to say hello to Paige, Ashley, and the rest of the TWF team!
