TWF Welcomes New Board Members

The Watershed Foundation is pleased to welcome three new members to its Board of Directors: Christa Myers, Jenna Williamson, and Suzette Clayton.

Christa Myers

Christa Myers, a Winona Lake native, is a big fan of all-sport lakes in our watershed, “there’s nothing better than tubing on a hot summer day.” But Christa recognizes these lakes represent more than summer fun. She believes protecting local water quality is crucial because it impacts our daily lives. When our lakes stay healthy, our whole community benefits.

Christa says being part of the board will give her the opportunity to support meaningful conservation efforts that helps preserve waters for future generations. She hopes to bring enthusiasm, curiosity, and a deep love for our local lakes!

Jenna Williamson

Jenna Williamson’s favorite lake in the watershed is “Little Tippy” or James Lake. There, she and her husband love to float on their boat and look at the nearby nature preserve as the sun sets.

Driven by her love of nature, passion for wildlife preservation, and interest in serving her local community, Jenna was inspired to join TWF. She hopes her experience in leadership, policy, and regulatory affairs will be a valuable asset.

Jenna believes, “water is life and clean water habitats are what makes our county and those around us such a beautiful desirable places to live.”

Suzette Clayton

Lake Tippecanoe is Suzette’s favorite lake in the watershed, she adds, “I hope it to be my forever home!”

She decided to join The Watershed Foundation’s board after spending the past 3 years volunteering for many events each summer. “I enjoyed helping and working with TWF’s amazing staff,” she says.

Suzette believes that the beautiful lakes in our region are treasures to be cherished. “To preserve these natural resources means we must be knowledgeable of their frailty.  We will not be given a second chance to preserve their beauty and value,” she says.
