According to poll results just released, Hoosiers value wetlands and want them protected.
Public Opinion Strategies, a nationally recognized polling firm, polled 600 registered voters in Indiana and found overwhelming, bipartisan support for wetland protection.
- 94% of those polled want Indiana wetland protections maintained or strengthened,
- 92% said that preserving fish and wildlife habitat is an important priority, and
- 72% said they would have a less favorable opinion of a legislator who voted to relax wetland protection (including 64% of the republicans and 86% of the democrats polled).
